Think of one true thing about your family's history - a reason a name was chosen, how two people met, why a tradition started. Has it ever actually been written down?
The object with a story
Is there something in your home - a ring, a photo, a tool, a recipe card - that means something only because you know the story behind it? If you're not around to tell it, does anyone else know?
The one sentence
If your kids - or whoever comes after you - read one sentence from you at 25, what would it say? It doesn't need to be profound. It needs to be true.
The first-24-hours question
If something happened to you this week, would the people closest to you know which drawer, folder, or account to go to first - insurance, the will, emergency contacts?
The "it's in my head" wish
Do you have a wish - about a funeral, a guardianship decision, what happens to a business or a pet - that exists only "in your head" right now, never actually said out loud or written anywhere?
